CFISD Community Cheerleader Spotlight: Amy Lippincott

As the third-largest school district in Texas and the largest employer in Northwest Harris County, Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District impacts the lives of far more than the 115,000 students and thousands of teachers, employees and administrators across 88 elementary, middle and high school campuses and special program facilities that study and work within our walls. In fact, we’re proud that as a top-rated school district, the work we do within our school system extends beyond the schools and permeates within our neighborhoods and businesses, making the greater Cypress-Fairbanks community a better place to work, live, study and play. The Cypress-Fairbanks community excels because of our CFISD cheerleaders; the individuals and businesses that invest in and support our students and community at large.

Today, we highlight Amy Lippincott, The Lippincott Team leader with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Gary Greene. The former CFISD PE teacher and mother of two CFISD students has worked in local real estate since 2008.

How long have you lived/worked in Cypress-Fairbanks?

14 years.

Why are you so passionate about being a part of the Cypress-Fairbanks community?

Cy-Fair is an amazing place to work and also raise a family. The reason we moved here was because of the strong reputation of the school district. It is so important to live in a thriving and safe environment. The real estate values stay strong and the community continues to grow and prosper.

How has Cypress-Fairbanks ISD impacted you, your family or your business?

I am a previous teacher of 16 years. I taught seven of those years in Cy-Fair so I experienced our great district as an employee. I have lived here for 14 years and my two children are very involved in their Cy-Fair schools, so I also have experience as a parent in Cy-Fair and I love these experiences.

Being a parent and a teacher are the two things that led to my success as a realtor here. When I earned my real estate license I knew there would be no better place to sell homes than in my own neighborhood. It was easy to sell homes here because I could personally relate to my buyers and share the good reasons to live in Cy-Fair.

What piece of advice would you like to give to Cypress-Fairbanks ISD students?

Get involved! There are so many different opportunities out there to take advantage of. Enjoy your teachers and school. Give 110 percent at everything you do so that you can look in the mirror and be proud of yourself. Also, I would tell them to make good friends and develop strong relationships.

What’s your favorite thing to do, see, eat or experience in our community?

I love being involved in our school and community events such as the Superintendent’s Fun Run. Friday Night Lights are my family’s favorite events. We also enjoy trying all of the new restaurants in our growing area.
